According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans and animals, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. How Does CBD-Infused Peanut Butter Work In Dogs?

We recommend underdosing at first. If everything seems to be going well, shift to the manufacturer’s dosing guidelines that come with your CBD-infused peanut butter. Each brand has its own CBD dosage guidelines. Remember that several factors affect the CBD dosage amount, including the dog’s weight, CBD concentration per treat, potency, and health condition being treated. Although there is no standard dosage amount, 0.2mg of CBD per pound (weight) is a safe rule of thumb. How to Make CBD Peanut Butter For Dogs
Here is how to make your CBD-infused dog peanut butter spread.

- Place the peanuts in a food processor or high-speed blender. At this point, you can also add the other ingredients.
- Process the peanuts until the butter is the desired consistency.
- For dogs who like a little crunch, make crunchy peanut butter. Chop up 1/4 cup or so of peanuts, then add to the finished processed peanut butter using a spatula.
- Refrigerate the peanut butter in an airtight container.
Note: Blending the peanuts can take up to 3 or more minutes before it finally becomes a more creamy textured peanut butter. Keep processing until it reaches your desired consistency.

- Preheat the oven to 350° and cover two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients well.
- At this point, if the dough is loose and crumbly, you can add 1/4 – 1/2 cup of oil.
- Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters or, if you don’t want to use cookie cutters, roll into balls.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Remove treats to the cooling rack and let them cool completely before giving them to your pet. Then, store them in an airtight container.
