Meri Halvari is a dedicated Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and contributing author at Canine Bible. Her lifelong connection with animals began in childhood and has grown into a professional commitment to animal health, welfare, and evidence-based veterinary care.
Meri currently works as a veterinarian in Finland at both Eläinklinikka Joy Oy in Espoo and Eiran Eläinlääkärit – Kaivopuiston Eläinklinikka Oy in Helsinki. Eläinklinikka Joy Oy is among the few veterinary clinics in Europe specializing in neurology, giving Meri valuable exposure to advanced neurological care alongside her broader clinical work. Before these roles, she worked as a veterinarian at another clinic in Helsinki and gained earlier experience as an intern and veterinary assistant in Finland from 2019 to 2023.
Meri earned her veterinary degree from the Estonian University of Life Sciences Veterinary School. She also completed international traineeships at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna in Austria in 2023 and the University of Perugia’s Department of Veterinary Medicine in Italy in 2022.
